Luigi Micheletti Award 2015: iscrizione entro il 15/09/14 – deadline September 15th 2014

Il 15 settembre 2014 scadono i termini per iscriversi al Luigi Micheletti Award 2015, il prestigioso premio europeo rivolto ai musei di storia contemporanea, industria e scienza.

Il Luigi Micheletti Award è focalizzato sulla storia contemporanea e il suo patrimonio scientifico, industriale e sociale. Questo Premio  è stato istituito nel 1996  dalla Fondazione Micheletti di Brescia e il grande esperto di archeologia industriale e museologia  Kenneth Hudson , per il riconoscimento delle eccellenze nel settore specifico della scienza e dell’industria musei europei. Possono partecipare musei scientifici, tecnici e industriali. Oggi il Premio è aperto anche ai musei di storia del 20° secolo (storia sociale, politica, militare) per riflettere la portata più ampia delle attività della  Fondazione Micheletti ed è gestito congiuntamente dalla Fondazione e da European Museum Academy.

La Cerimonia del  prossimo anno sarà il 8-9 maggio 2015 nella città di Brescia  per celebrare il 20° anniversario del Micheletti Award. Brescia è a 45’ in treno da Milano dove si terrà l’Esposizione Universale EXPO Milano 2015 sul tema “Nutrire il Pianeta, Energia per la Vita”.

The September 15th, 2014 is the deadline for taking part in the Luigi Micheletti Award 2015, the prestigious European prize for innovative museums in the world of contemporary history, industry and science.

The Luigi Micheletti Award is focused on contemporary history and its scientific, industrial and social heritage. Originally the Micheletti Award was established by the Micheletti Foundation and Kenneth Hudson in 1996, for the recognition of excellence in the specific sector of European science and industry museums. Applications are welcomed from scientific, technical and industrial museums and science centres, both long-established and recently opened. Today the scheme is also open to museum of 20th century history (social, political, military) to reflect the wider scope of the Micheletti Foundation work.

The closing date for applications is the 15 September 2014.

Next year ceremony will  be on 8-9 May 2015 in the town of Brescia to celebrate  the 20th anniversary of the Micheletti Award.  A  special event,  a great chance to promote your museum in Europe.  Brescia is 45’  by train from Milan where  the great Universal EXPO Milano 2015 on the theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”  a unique global event not to be missed.
